The online directory is made up of two main areas. The top filter section allows the user to pick which type of search to perform and which filters to apply to the search. The bottom results section displays all search results and help information. Separation of these two areas into individual frames makes it possible to view search results and then make slight modifications to the search criteria without having to re-enter all the criteria.
Three different types of searches are possible and described below:
- At the main page, select the District button from the Search By list.
- Select the desired district from the district drop down list or select a city to obtain a list of all districts within a particular city.
- Click the Search button.
The District result page will be displayed. This page contains links to the district and school information pages for the current district. These pages contain district/school office addresses, phone, fax, e-mail, web page links, board member information and personnel information.
- At the main page, select the School button from the Search By list.
- Select the city from the city drop down list.
- Select any special service or criteria from the criteria list (i.e., Special Ed, Year Around Ed, or Alternative Ed).
- Select specific grade level if desired.
- Click the Search button.
Links to schools meeting the chosen criteria will be displayed in the School result page. Click on any of these links for more information on a particular school.
- At the main page, select the Employee button from the Search By list.
- Select/specify at least one of the following filters:
Last name District
School City
Department Subject
Grade Level Subject type - Click the Search button.
The Employee results page will be displayed listing the name, district, department, title and school for all employees meeting the selected criteria. Use the district and school links to find additional information concerning the an employee.
